  • Question of the month for May: What is the only US state whose name can be typed on just one row of keys?
  • Attention 8th Graders permission slips and money for the Dorney Park trip is due today. Please see Mrs. Palmeri or Mrs. Strzykalski for a permission slip or go on the class of 2022 website.
  • All yearbook orders are due by Monday, June 18. Order one now before the supply runs out. Contact Mrs. Brown for more information. Yearbooks will not be sold after Monday, June 18.
  • There will be a brief class meeting for sophomores today directly after school in Ms. Jurgens’ room.

  • Want to shine some sun on a friend? Help the NJHS spread kindness by Kicking Off Summer with a Swedish Fish Seashell Sale. Send a candy gram for $1 either with your name or anonymously along with a sweet message. Sale starts Monday. See an NJHS member for more details.

  • On Friday, 5/25/18, we will have an after the prom breakfast for our juniors and seniors. Food will be served in our cafeteria during period one. French toast, egg, pork roll and cheese sandwiches, hash browns, watermelon, fruit, muffins as well as drinks will be provided. The breakfast will be only period one. Periods two and three will have opportunities for the juniors and seniors to use the gymnasium, courtyard, cafeteria and if weather permits the field behind the school.
  • Attention 6th graders: permission slip for the YMCA trip next week is due on Monday, 5/21/18.

  • Intramural Hockey will continue today after school. The Sharks play the Tornadoes at 3:15 and at 4:00 the Tombstones will take on the Knights. Any Middle & High School students can come support at 3:15 & 4.

  • Yesterday in Intramural Hockey, the Tombstones defeated the Tornadoes lead by Stephen McLaughlin, Jacob Ross & Savannah Switzer. In the second game, the Knights defeated the Sharks in a hard fought contest. The Sharks were lead by their goaltender, Andy "The Human Wall" Juhass while the Knights were lead by Nick Charmello and his two goals. Tomorrows games will be the Sharks v. the Tornadoes at 3:15 and the Knights v. Tombstones at 4. All students are encouraged to come out, watch and support.
  • Thank you to all the sixth grade students and chaperones for another fantastic trip to Philadelphia.
  • Tomorrow we will have a concert for our school during period seven. One of the bands performing will be our Rock Band. Feel free to show support for our performers by wearing clothing with your favorite rock band or musical band on it. Students may wear hats if the hats are supporting their band.

  • The Student Council will be having a fundraiser night at TGI Fridays in Old Bridge today from 11 am to 11 pm. Fliers can be found on the Student Council webpage.
  • Today after school, Intramural Hockey will continue! At 4:00 the Tombstones will face off against the Tornadoes. At 4:45 the Sharks will face off against the returning champion, Knights. Any high school or middle school student can come watch and support!
  • During period two high school students will have a presentation by retired DEA agent, Douglas Collier. This presentation is called, "Vaping - the Smoke Screen". Students will begin being called down to the auditorium during the end of period one.

  • Students, don't forget to vote for the Student Rep to the board of education in homeroom today.
  • After the first games of the year, here are the results for intramural hockey. The Tombstones beat the Sharks with Jacob Ross leading the way with a hat trick. In the second game, the Knights defeated the Tornadoes. John McCleery & Nick Charmello both had a 4 point night. Games will continue on Tuesdays and Thursdays

  • Come out today to support intramural hockey. In the first game in the gym at 4:00, the Tombstones will take on the Sharks. At 4:45 the Tornadoes will take on the Knights. Can the Freshmen beat the sophomores? Can the Juniors overtake the seniors? Find out today in the gym!
  • Congratulations to the varsity baseball team. With yesterday's win over Highland Park they claimed the Gold Division championship. This is their second division crown in the past three years.

  • The first intramural hockey is game is today! At 4:00 the Sharks will take on the Tornadoes. At 4:45 the Tombstones will take on the reigning champs, the Knights. Any Middle or High School student can come to the gym to watch.
  • Varsity softball won yesterday against East Brunswick Tech 14-1.
  • JV softball won yesterday against East Brunswick Tech 10-0.

  • Any senior interested in applying for the GSA scholarship, should see Mrs. Brown in Room 104. Deadline for submission is Friday, May 18.
  • It's official. Hockey is back! Intramural Hockey begins tomorrow. At 4:00 the Sharks will play the Tornadoes. At 4:45 the Knights will play the Tombstones. Middle and High School students can come watch the games starting at 4 in the gym!
  • Varsity softball won on Friday against Woodbridge Academy, 7-6.
  • The Guidance office will be closed during periods 1, 2 and 3 this morning. Anyone needing assistance should contact the main office.
