  • Today ,October 11, 2019, marks the 31st Anniversary of National Coming Out Day. National Coming Out Day is based on the initial idea that the most basic form of activism is coming out to family, friends, colleagues, and living life as an openly LGBTQ person. Coming out - whether it is as a lesbian, gay, bi, transgender, or as a straight ally, still matters! Homophobia thrives in an atmosphere of silence and ignorance. In honor of all who have come out, we commend you! If you would like to show your support by wearing a rainbow ribbon, please see a member of the GSA.

  • Does anybody watch The Ellen Show? Well, she said something that makes a lot of sense the other day. She said that, "We focus so much on our differences, and that is creating, I think, a lot of chaos and negativity and bullying in the world. And I think if everybody focused on what we all have in common - which is - we all want to be happy." Do something today that makes you happy, that makes you smile, and that makes you feel good inside and out. Have a great Tuesday!
