- Attention all juniors and seniors... Prom permission slips are out. Tickets are on sale through Friday, March 27th. Please see Ms. Spinapont or a junior class officer for further information. Permission forms completed for guests from outside our school need to be approved by building administration.

- National Honor Society Monthly Meeting today at 12:30 during 6th period lunch. You may bring your lunch. All must attend.

- Attention All High School Students. Do you enjoy being in front of a camera? Are you interested in being an actor or actress? Join the Future Film Makers Club. Attend our meeting today after school in room 329, we will discuss the process of casting for films and begin casting students to act in our short film.

There will be a brief meeting for anyone interested in running spring track today, immediately after school in room 110. If you are interested in joining the team but cannot attend the meeting please, see Mr. Mecca as soon as possible.

- Coach G the Elder coaching the boys varsity tennis team is looking for another 4/5 young men who want to learn a new sport-Tennis. This is new to you....He understands that but he wants you non baseball guys to think about it. See Lance if interested!
- There will be a brief meeting for anyone interested in running spring track on Wednesday, February 26th, immediately after school in room 110. If you are interested in joining the team but cannot attend the meeting please, see Mr. Mecca as soon as possible.
- On Saturday the track team turned in one of its best Sectional performances ever with three runners qualifying for States. Sophomore standout Rafael Albarran placed 5th in the 1600 meters in a PR time of 4:44 to qualify for the Group 1 State championships. Abe Calderon placed 4th in the 3200 meters in a time of 10:17 to make it to states and Mary Ann Walsh also placed 4th in the 3200 meters to qualify for states. Other PR performances were turned in by Neftali Rodriguez, Juliana Popolizio and Ciara Smocovich in the 55 meters, Tiffany Conrad in the 800 meters and Joe Jamolawicz in the 3200 meters who placed 9th overall in a PR time of 11:04. Congratulations to Abe, Mary Ann and Rafael on qualifying for States and good luck next week.

- We celebrated Presidents Day this past weekend; however, some in our society may be uncertain of exactly what we celebrated, here is the description of the holiday: Presidents' Day is a federal holiday celebrated on the third Monday in February; Presidents' Day 2020 occurred on Monday, February 17. Originally established in 1885 in recognition of President George Washington, the holiday became popularly known as Presidents' Day after it was moved as part of 1971’s Uniform Monday Holiday Act, an attempt to create more three-day weekends for the nation’s workers. While several states still have individual holidays honoring the birthdays of Washington, Abraham Lincoln and other figures, Presidents' Day is now popularly viewed as a day to celebrate all U.S. presidents, past and present.
