  • Athletes - Students interested in Spring athletics must register online by Feb. 28th. Note: All documents can be found on the South Amboy District Website under the "Athletics" section. Ms. Houseman, our school nurse, is in the process of checking physicals. Please send completed physicals to Ms. Houseman.

  • All Winter athletes must wash and return uniforms to Mr. Zalocki ASAP. (MS, JV and Varsity Basketball and MS & HS Cheer)
  • Students taking the AP exam must complete and return your registration form to Mr. Zalocki today. Please include your check with the form. Students needing a new registration form can see Mr. Zalocki.
  • Final Boys Preseason tennis meeting today afternoon in gym. This is your last chance if you want to try learning a new exciting sport.
  • Attention Seniors: if you are interested in participating in creating the Senior Mural please come to the meeting which will be held on today at 12:40 in room 328. Please come with ideas.
  • Good Morning all 6th graders! We will have a meeting today in room 437.

  • Attention all Middle School and High School students. Mrs. Palmeri is trying to do a little Spring Cleaning and needs you to take home your Art Work from last semester. Please stop by anytime from now until Wednesday, March 6th. Art work may not be saved after the 6th so please do not forget.
  • National Honor Society Meeting TODAY after school in room 103. All must attend.

  • On Thursday, February 28th,the Honor Society and High School Student Council students will meet in the Library Media Center immediately after school to prepare for Read Across America activities. All permission slips must be turned in at the time of this meeting.

  • Although Valentine's Day has passed, it is not too late to find love in a book. Go on a Blind Date with a Book from the Library Media Center. The blind date may be funny, informative, entertaining, or heart-breaking. (Or maybe not.) You won’t know until you read it! Even if your date turns out not to be your type, there is a raffle entry with each book checked out. The prize drawing is February 28th.
  • 8th grade superlative pictures are going to be taken during first period today. Meet in Mrs. Partenope's room (room 215)

  • Mandatory high school softball meeting today, Thursday, February 21st, after school in Mrs. Partenope’s room.
  • The Health and Fitness Club continues this afternoon and every Tuesday/Thursday thereafter from 3 - 4:30pm. Come and decompress after your school day with some stretching, cardio, and weight training. Please bring a small towel!
  • The Class of 2023 will have a meeting during lunch tomorrow regarding Six Flags, Formal, and fundraising ideas for the rest of the year.

  • Guidance is reminding ALL SENIORS that scholarships are available in Guidance AND on our school website under the Guidance tab. There is a lot of money out there for you...go and get it!

  • The National Junior Honor Society and High School Student Council will meet immediately after school on Thursday, February 21st, in the Library Media Center to prepare for the Read Across America visit to the Elementary School.

  • The Safety Ambassadors meeting scheduled for today has been cancelled and will be rescheduled.

  • Reminder: there is a high school dance on March 14, 2019 here at the MHS. Information and permission forms were sent home with the Principal's weekly email to parents. Permission slips and ticket fee of $5.00 are due by March 11, 2019.

  • Do you need to earn community service hours? The Library Media Center is looking for several students to work on a project next week Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, before school from 7:40am - 8:10am. Each student will earn double the time served. You must sign up with Mrs. Quinn THIS WEEK to claim your spot.
  • Tennis! Boys Tennis sign ups continue until today. If you are interested let Mr. G, The Elder, know asap.
  • Attention all juniors, be sure to stop by Mrs. Jurgens' room (111) and pick up a Gertrude Hawk Chocolate order form! 
  • Reminder: we will have a short session today due to parent conferences in the afternoon.
  • School will be closed on Friday and Monday for President's weekend.

  • There will be an informational meeting for all middle school and high school boys and girls interested in running spring track immediately after school on Wednesday, February 13th, in room 110. If you are interested in joining the team but cannot make the meeting see Mr. Mecca as soon as possible.

  • National Honor Society fundraiser night at Bubba's 33 tonight! Please join us for great burgers, pizza and fries while supporting the NHS Scholarship Fund. See an NHS member or Ms. Kovacs in Room 103 for a flyer. You must present flyer.
