Nashari Payano turned in two PRs in the 100 meters and 400 meters to complete a very good season. The first day of competition was highlighted by the exceptional performance of the boys 4x800 meter relay team of Jack Lukie, Bryan Pena, Abe Calderon and Rafael Albarran who placed 4th in the section and qualified for states. The highlight of the second day came in the 3200 meters when both Abraham Calderon and Guinevere Kennedy became just the 5th and 6th individuals in school history to qualify for states. Abe Calderon who has had a breakout year placed 5th in the section in a time of 10:23 to secure his ticket to the state meet making him only the second boy in school history to qualify at the distance. Freshman star Guinevere Kennedy made school history by becoming only the second girl to run under 13 minutes in the 3200 meters and only the second girl to ever qualify for states.
