Question of the month for September: The US Marines are also called "leathernecks". Why?
- Attention National Junior Honor Society Members! We will be having our First meeting of the year NEXT Tuesday, Sept 18, directly after school in the Media Center. This meeting is Mandatory. Please make proper arrangements.
- The 6th grade class will have our first meeting on Friday, September 14th, after school in room 437. If you have any questions talk to Ms. Grasso or Ms. Vancil.
- Attention Class of 2024: there will be a meeting on Tuesday, September 18, after school in Mrs. Partenope's room 215. Please come and bring ideas of fundraisers of the year.
- Attention all students interested in yearbook. There will be a meeting on Wednesday, September 19, in Mrs. Partenope's room 215.

If you are interested running for Student Council, please see either Mr. Hughes or Mrs. Smocovich to receive your applications. Applications are due tomorrow, Thursday, September 13th.
- The first Senior Class meeting will be today at dismissal in room 432. Please come plan our fundraisers and events for the year.

- Middle School girls soccer meeting after school on Thursday at 3:00 pm in Room 329. Tryouts will start on Friday.
- Photos will be taken today. Grades 6, 7, 9, 10 and 11. Students should report to their Physical Education class and will then be escorted to the auditorium for photos. Any student in grades 8 or 12 who are new to our school or did not have a photo taken last year should inform their P.E. teacher and ask permission to go during that period.

Welcome Back! It is going to be a great first day.
- Everyone should have a copy of his/her schedule. If not, your homeroom teacher will have one for you.
- If anyone needs to see a guidance counselor, you need to make an appointment. You can do so by stopping by the main office. Please do not walk to guidance unannounced.
- The media center has been upgraded. It looks great and we are going to do all we can to keep it that way. Students are asked to not enter the media center unless with a class or with a pass from a teacher. Please do not use it to cross from one side of the building to the other.
- There will be meetings this morning in the cafeteria. Period one for the middle school, period two for grades 9 and 10, and period three for grades 11 and 12. You should report to your class and wait to be called down.
