Dear Parents/Guardians and Fall Athletes,

On June 24, 2019, a letter went out listing all of our sports for the fall of 2019. This letter listed a middle school Girl's Tennis Team. This was an error in the letter as we only have high school Girl's Tennis for the Fall of 2019.
I apologize for any inconvenience.
If you have any questions, please reach out to me.

Sincerely,

Frank Zalocki, VP/AD

(Please see notice below from our VP/AD - Thank you, Dr. McCabe)

Dear Parents/Guardians and Fall Athletes,

Prior to starting the Fall season, or practicing of any sort, athletes must have a completed physical and registration form by August 7th the latest. All forms can be found on our South Amboy MHS website under the "Athletics Tab." The first day of practice will begin on or the week of August 12th. Below are the coaches for Fall of 2019-2020:

1. Boy's and Girl's XC (MS/HS): Anthony Mecca (a.mecca@sapublicschools.com)
2. Boy's Soccer Varsity: Tony Gonsalves (t.gonsalves@sapublicschools.com)
3. Boy's Soccer MS: Jared Gonsalves (j.gonsalves@sapublicschools.com)
4. Girl's Soccer Varsity: Nicole Downs (n.downs@sapublicschools.com)
5. Girl's Soccer MS: Emily Mitchell (e.mitchell@sapublicschools.com)
6. Girl's Tennis HS: Brian Wohlt (b.wohlt@sapublicschools.com)

Physicals:
Physical forms can be found on our South Amboy MHS website under the “Athletics Tab.”  Athletes can have their private physician or have our school physician complete the physical. In either case, our school physician MUST sign off on all physicals. If you would like our school physician to complete the physical, please know there is limited availability. You can call the main office at 732-316-7669, ext 1, to schedule a time with our physician.  All students wanting to see the school physician for his/her physical must have an appointment. The slots fill up quickly and are scheduled on a fist call, first serve basis. Our school physician will be in on July 17 and August 7 from 12 - 2 pm. All completed physical forms are to be given to Nurse Housman. They can be mailed or handed in. Please remember that all physicals are good for one school year.

Registration:
Registration for 2019-2020 Fall sports is now available for MS/HS athletes. The registration form can be found on our South Amboy MHS website under the “Athletics Tab.”  Please know that parents/guardians only need to create one account for all 2019-2020 sports. All athletes MUST have a completed registration form by August 7th prior to participating in any school sports.

Reminders: Fall athletes MUST have completed physical forms cleared by our school doctor by August 7th. Athletes also MUST have completed registration forms by August 7th as well. Students will not be able to participate in 2019-2020 Fall sports without a fully completed physical and registration form by this deadline

Sincerely,
Frank Zalocki, VP/AD

Dear Parents/Guardians,

For Frog Hollow tomorrow, parents who are driving and dropping their children off should enter via the Ferris Street entrance and will exit the rear of Frog Hollow by the YMCA. Having traffic flow in one direction should be safer and more efficient.

Students who are walking can enter Frog Hollow using the Ferris Street entrance or the rear entrance; both gates will be open.

We ask that students arrive no earlier than 8:00 am and no later than 8:15 am.

Upon arrival, students will gather by the tennis courts and attendance will be taken.

For departure, we ask that all students not walking home be picked up promptly at 12:15 pm.

Parents picking up, once again, may want to enter via Ferris Street.

Students not attending Frog Hollow should report directly to school for a regular school day.

Thank you,
Dr. McCabe

Friday, students attending Frog Hollow, should report directly to Frog Hollow between 8:00 am and 8:15 am. Students will be dismissed from Frog Hollow following a short session schedule with a dismissal at 12:15 pm.

Dear Parents/Guardians,

In regard to yearbooks, for all parents/guardians who purchased a yearbook. I want to thank you for doing so and supporting our school. When the yearbooks arrived on May 31, we noticed there were a good number of errors and omissions; many more than we thought acceptable. We took action on Monday, June 3. We worked with the yearbook company and by the evening had completed what we felt were the necessary corrections.

The yearbook company reported that they will have the corrected yearbooks to the school by June 19, 2019. I want all of my parents who purchased a book to have the corrected copy. If you have purchased a book and have it in your possession, you may exchange it for a updated one.

If you already have things written and memorialized in the original book, then of course you may keep it and will still be provided a corrected one.  Anyone who has not yet picked up a purchased yearbook, please wait until the new ones arrive on June 19.

I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

At this time, we have 16 books that are still available for sale. If you are interested in reserving/purchasing one of the unsold books arriving on June 19, 2019, please contact Mrs. Partenope at cpartenope@sapublicschools.com.

The remaining books will be sold on a first come, first serve basis.

Sincerely,
Dr. McCabe
