Dear Parents/Guardians, Some important happenings at the MHS (week of 1/27/2020): Middle School Valentine's Day Dance sponsored by the PTO will be held on Thursday, February, 6, 2020, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Please see permission slip attached to my weekly email. Signed permission slips and fee, $5.00, due by this Friday, January 31, 2020. Completed forms and fee can be given to a homeroom teacher or the main office. Parent/Teacher Scheduler: we are going to open the Parent Conference tab in Parent Access on Thursday of this week. A notification will be sent out once it is available. Once opened, the scheduler will be available until 2/6/2020. Please review your child’s grades on Gradebook in Parent Access. See if there are any teachers you would like to meet with so you can schedule a conference. Although we set two times a year for conferences, November and February, a parent/teacher conference can happen at any time during the year at your request. Dear Parents/Guardians, The Parent Conference Tab is available on Parent Access. Please log on to schedule times to meet with your child's teachers for Parent/Teacher conferences being held on 2/11/2020 and 2/12/2020. Dear Parents/Guardians, Some important happenings at the MHS (week of 1/20/2020): Girls Varsity Girls Varsity Tennis Team are selling Zipper Hoodies. Completed forms and fee can be given to a homeroom teacher or the main office.  Cooperative Athletic Program: Our students in grades eighth through eleventh had a presentation from the Sayreville High School Athletic Director as well as coaches from their high school football, wrestling and field hockey teams. This was to introduce the cooperative athletic program the South Amboy Board of Education is in the process of entering with the Sayreville Board of Education to offer these sports to our high school students in the 2020-2021 school year. Students who decide to tryout and make a team would practice and play at Sayreville High School.Students who showed interest had an opportunity to meet with each coach, provide his/her name and gather information. Please speak to your son/daughter about this opportunity and feel free to contact the school if you have any questions. Tribute ads in the yearbook are available and can include photos alongside a personal message to your son or daughter. There are a limited number of pages available in the 2020 South Amboy Middle/High School yearbook, act now before the space is taken, our ad pages are due by 1/15/2020! Students can get copies of the paperwork for documentation in our media center. Our media specialist also records hours for our students. If your son/daughter is not certain about the number of hours completed to date, please have him/her see Ms. Yeh in the media center. You may also email her with inquires at [email protected].
