Dear Parents/Guardians, As mentioned in the return to school letter, students returning to school will have grab and go lunches available to them as they leave the building for the day.  They can/will receive multiple meals on the days they are in.  Meals will be provided from Monday - Thursday for in-school students to pick up at the end of the day.  The letter also states that virtual-only students will be able to pick up their meals on Wednesday evenings from 6-7 (at the MHS).  Please note that while virtual only students must pick up at this time, this pick up is not limited to virtual-only students. Parents of in school students can pick up at that time as well. In addition to this information please note that as we transition back to schools, students who have not yet returned to school will still have the Tuesday/Thursday 12-2pm pick up time at the MHS available to them.  This will continue on 10/27, 10/29, 11/3, and 11/5.  November 5th will be the last day the 12-2 pickup will be available, as all children will be returning to school the following week.  Please remember that these meals are currently free to all students in the South Amboy School district regardless of whether you have been a free, reduced, or paid student in the past.  Please take advantage. Thank you, Peter Frascella Business Administrator/Board Secretary South Amboy Public Schools

Dear Parents/Guardians, You will notice the district is sending out the Covid questionnaires in Genesis to be completed. We would like you to be familiar with them; feel free to complete them. They will be mandatory prior to students arriving each day when we have in person instruction. Also, a reminder that the groupings, Purple and Gold, are not finalized. They could change. I am sorry, we cannot take requests at this time for adjustments from one group to another. We are in the process of balancing our school given the limited capacity and ensuring siblings, that includes those who are in both schools, are grouped together.   Thank you, Dr. McCabe

Dear Parents/Guardians, As you are aware, we are moving towards there being two options for learning: In-Person Instruction using a Purple/Gold Days model or a Virtual/Remote Only instructional option. We are gathering and entering the information from the completed parent surveys and assigning students to one of the groups, Purple or Gold or for Virtual only. If you login to the Parent Portal, on the bottom left hand corner you will see these options: Purple, Gold and Virtual. There will be a check next to the one we assigned your child based on your request. Please realize that the Middle/High School will have this finalized by some time on Friday. We will try to assign students to Purple or Gold based on parent surveys; however, there is no promise. While being virtual or not should not change, the grouping, Purple or Gold may. We need to ensure all groups and classes are balanced and no classroom has more than the reduced capacity of each will allow. Timeline for in person: *10/26/2020 for students in our Life Skills classes *11/2/2020 for all middle school students *11/9/2020 for all high school students On 10/26/2020, with the first group of students arriving for in person instruction, the entire school will begin our new period schedule. This is outlined in the MHS Re-entry plan. You can locate that by going to this webpage: http://www.sapublicschools.com/cms/One.aspx?portalId=98560&pageId=11502023  and then clicking on Middle/High School Re-entry Plan. I am scheduling a Middle/High School parent Zoom meeting for Tuesday, 10/27/2020, at 6:00 pm; below is the Zoom link. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to the school.
