Dear Parents/Guardians of Students in Mr. Stoddard's Classes: I visited Mr. Stoddard's classes today. I informed all of the students that we anticipate the Board of Education approving a new full-time math teacher for his classes. This teacher will begin in April. In the interim, beginning tomorrow, we will have math teachers in our school taking charge of Mr. Stoddard's classes. These teachers are already teaching their own course loads, but have agreed to take on more to ensure our students receive the instruction they need.  I am grateful to our math teachers at the MHS who were willing to go above and beyond in order to assist our students during this challenging transition.  If you have any questions, please call the school so we can assist you.  Thank you, Dr. McCabe

Dear Parents/Guardians: What's Happening at the MHS???  Dropping off and picking up students: Our arrivals and dismissals can be busy times as we have many cars entering and leaving school grounds. My greatest concern is for student safety. Please be careful and avoid double parking, driving around cars dropping off students and please always maintain a speed of 15 miles per hour or less. We have students crossing in between cars and also have younger siblings who arrive with older students being dropped off and can sometimes not be as cautious when crossing. I recommend considering leaving earlier if you notice that many times there is a wait to drop off. We cannot always anticipate traffic. I need your help to ensure our kids are safe. The Student Council will be conducting a food drive for Middlesex County.  All students who bring in 10 items will receive a half hour of community service. Please bring items to Room 106 or Room 439. The Student Council will be having a fundraiser night at Texas Roadhouse in Old Bridge on Wednesday, March 20 from 4 pm until 10 pm.  Please see the Student Council page for a flier. Volleyball Tournament: Looking for support to help spread the word, our National Honor Society has their Volleyball Tournament Thursday. It is a great fundraiser and a good time. We have reached out to organizations in town who might be looking to sponsor teams. The deadline for teams to register is 3/19/19.  Please call the school if you have questions or contact Ms. Kovacs at [email protected] for more information. Junior Night is almost here: it will be this Wednesday, March 20, 2019, starting at 6:30 pm in our media center. All Parents/Guardians of juniors are encouraged to attend. Our guidance Department will be covering topics such as:  College Board/SAT Registration/SAT Program Fulfilling Graduation Requirements*Incoming Senior Course Selections/Middlesex County College Dual Enrollment Courses National College Fair Junior Night is an informal meeting that aims to answer questions our parents/guardians have regarding their child and post-secondary education planning. SAT Prep Program at the MHS! If interested, please register asap! We will have a SAT Program at our school in the evening during April to prepare interested students for the May SAT. We are also working on internship opportunities with the Elementary School. Want more info? Contact the guidance department. An internship provides hands-on experience in the world of work and also looks great on a resume.  Seniors and Parents of Seniors: We have begun planning the slide show for the 12th grade graduation. This is a big undertaking and in order for it to be a success we will need everyone's assistance. A link has been sent to all 12th grade students from senior, Michael Coman, a member of our slide show committee, via their school emails regarding the slideshow. The link will take students to an album where they will be able to upload all photos they wish to have in the slideshow. We are requesting that students put in a baby photo as well as one from this year. Also, we are asking for pictures from elementary school/sports/clubs, etc. All photos must be school appropriate. Any photos that are inappropriate will be removed. As Principal, I will be reviewing all submissions. All photos are due in less than a month, on April 15, 2019; please do not wait until then to submit.  Board of
