Dear Parents/Guardians,
Some important happenings at the MHS (week of 2/10/2020):
Parent/Teacher Conferences are this Tuesday (6:00 pm to 8:00 pm) and Wednesday (1:00 pm to 2:30pm) If you have not scheduled a conference by now, you might not be able to have one on either day. Many teachers are fully booked already. Please realize if you arrive and there are no available slots, you will need to set a meeting at another time. Parent/Teacher conferences can occur anytime during the school year. All you need to do is contact the teacher or your child's guidance counselor. Also, please realize we need to keep to the time schedule, teachers cannot run over. If a teacher runs over with a parent, it will impact his/her next meeting.
High School Students! Join the New Future FilmMakers Club! The club meets once a week. The Club will work under the guidance of Mr. Nuzzie, a professional in the field, to create a professional short film. Students will create a script, film the script and edit a short film. The short film will be presented to parents and the community in May.
The Student Council will be conducting a fundraiser at TGI Friday’s from 3:00pm - 11:00pm on February 11. Why not go before or after you attend conferences? Please see the Student Council webpage for a flier.
The Student Council will be conducting a Food Drive for Middlesex County Food Bank during the month of March. Students can earn community service hours: 10 items = 30 minutes.
The Student Council will be selling paper hearts during the month of February for $1 during all lunch periods to benefit American Heart Association.
The Music Talent Show is set for February 20, 2020. Students can show off their musical talent. We need to have enough acts to make it work. See Ms. Alcuri asap, no later than Tuesday of this week.
Senior Night! 2/10/2020: Boys Varsity Basketball Team Senior Night at 5:30 pm
Senior Slideshow: some of our seniors are working with administration on the senior slideshow for graduation. All seniors were emailed last week asking for photos: one baby photo, one eighth grade graduation photo and photos from any school activities, trips, sports events - can be a group photo. Information about submitting them was in the email. All photos are due by 2/28/2020.
