Dear Parents/Guardians,
On Tuesday, 5/15/18, our high school students will be seeing a presentation given by Douglas Collier, a retired DEA agent. Mr. Collier works with many schools throughout the state and provides programs on drug/alcohol/tobacco awareness and prevention for students and parents.
The program our high school students will be seeing on Tuesday is titled: "Vaping -The Smoke Screen". The program will cover the topics of Vapes and e-cigs, and the risk factors associated with vaping. Vaping is linked to high use rates of other drugs among adolescents. The presentation will include an interactive PowerPoint as well as a Q and A with the students. Evidenced based prevention will be the primary focus along with incorporating local data and resources.
