What's Happening at the MHS??? (Week of 10/15/18) 
Dear Parents/Guardians,

Some important happenings at the MHS:
  • 10/17/18: Make up photos and 8th grade cap and gown photos
  • 10/18/18: We will have a Girls Summit for our Middle School Girls in our auditorium. This important event is brought to our   school by the The Middlesex County Board of Chosen Freeholders, The Middlesex County Office of Human Services and The   Middlesex County Commission on Child Abuse and Missing Children. The theme of the Summit is to empower young girls by   enhancing positive decision-making skills and avoiding at risk behaviors, while increasing self-esteem and knowledge of future educational opportunities. A flyer and agenda were forwarded with last week's email.
  • Senior Class: Disney payment #5 is due Oct. 26, amount- $200. Please see Ms. Sherman if you have any   questions. 
  • Looking ahead:
    • 10/25/18: Halloween Dance for Middle School
    • 10/26/18: PTO Pumpkin Painting along with our famous Haunted Hallway.
    • 10/31/18: There is a short session on Halloween with an in-service training in the afternoon for our staff. Reminder: dress code in effect on Halloween. Sorry, no masks, costume make-up or costumes.
    • 11/8/18 through 11/12/18: School closed for NJEA Conference and Veteran's day
    • 11/13/18: PTO meeting
    • 11/19/18: Short session with evening parent/teacher conferences (We will open our parent scheduler ahead of time to allow parents to schedule appointments via Parent Access)
    • 11/20/18: Short session with afternoon parent/teacher conferences.
    • 11/21/18: Short session the day before Thanksgiving
  • Community Event:The South Amboy Youth Organization and the City of South Amboy are sponsoring a Halloween Dance on 10/19/18 for students in grades 5th, 6th and 7th. A flyer was sent out last week.
