What's Happening at the MHS??? (Week of 11/12/18)
Dear Parents/Guardians,

Some important happenings at the MHS:
  • The Class of 2023 is hosting the Turkey Shootout! A free throw competition on November 27th to raise money for the class! A  minimum donation of $3 will grant you access as a spectator and a minimum donation of $10 will grant you a spot in the  competition! Every contestant will shoot at least 35+ free throws. Our 8th-graders have tickets available and you can also  contact Mr. G. for more information at [email protected] or 732-316-7668 ext. 3231.
  • Parent scheduler for conferences is open in Parent Access. The scheduler will close on 11/14/18. Please contact the school if  you have any difficulties scheduling conferences so we can assist. It is important parents schedule meetings ahead of time.  Showing up either day without a time scheduled will most likely result in not being able to meet with a teacher. Each meeting  is five minutes long. If more time will be needed, please feel free to schedule a parent/teacher conference anytime during  the year. To schedule a meeting, simply reach out to your child's teacher or counselor. This link will take you to some tips  from the NEA on how parents can prepare for parent/teacher conferences; I hope you find them helpful:  http://www.nea.org/home/60103.htm Please print a copy of your scheduled conferences after you have completed scheduling them  to bring with you on 11/19 and 11/20.
  • 11/13/18: first day of marking period two and there is a PTO meeting in the evening.
  • Report cards will be available later this week. A notice will will be sent our once they are available.
  • Looking ahead:
    • 11/19/18: Short session with evening parent/teacher conferences
    • 11/20/18: Short session with afternoon parent/teacher conferences
    • 11/21/18: Short session the day before Thanksgiving
    • 12/14/18: We have moved the Homecoming Dance to December 14, 2018.
    • 12/15/18: The Friends of South Amboy Basketball Games

If you have any questions, please reach out to the school so we can assist you.

Thank you,
Dr. McCabe
