Homework

The purpose of homework is to reinforce and independently practice concepts learned in school. At the beginning of each math class, students will copy their homework into their school planners. Homework should be completed and returned to school on time.

Homework will count as a formative assessment grade for each marking period. Students will begin each marking period with a 100% homework grade and each missed homework assignment will result in a deduction of 3 points.

Students are responsible for completing a “Missing HW” slip for every missed assignment.

Make Up Work

Students are responsible for asking a classmate and the teacher about missed work after an absence. Students are given one day for each missed day to make up their work. If a test or quiz is missed during an absence, it must be made up within a reasonable amount of time.

Extra Help

Extra help is available before school at 7:40 on Mondays and Fridays and additional times when needed.
