Reminder: students attending prom, if you are being signed out early, after period five, and the adult signing you out is not your guardian, we need to have a note in the main office now from your guardian giving permission for you to leave. Students 18 years old may sign themselves out. Remember, the time you miss is not excused.

For prom: arrive at 6:00pm by the auditorium entrance. Buses begin boarding at 6:15pm.

This weekend we celebrate Memorial Day. Memorial Day is observed on the last Monday of May, honoring the men and women who died while serving in the U.S. military. I ask that we have a moment of silence to honor all those who gave their lives for our country.

Reminder: school is closed Friday, Monday, and Tuesday. We reopen on Wednesday, June 1, 2022.

The South Amboy Varsity softball team was on fire last week enhancing their record to 14-5 currently on an 8 game winning steak!  On Tuesday in the first round of the NJSIAA Tournament for Central Jersey Group 1 the Lady Guvs defeated Woodbridge Academy by a score of 13-5.   The ladies previously lost to this team earlier in the season and it was great to see them fight for the win, Evalise Perez pitched 5 innings to record the win!  Kyleigh Millette and Kayla Buchanan won the game for the team in the bottom of the 5th inning.  On Wednesday, the ladies traveled to Piscataway to play the number 3 seed (as the 11 seed) in the GMC tournament and left victorious! The score was 16-15.  This nail biter was a game to watch, the team came together after scoring 14 runs in the first inning.  Evalise Perez threw all seven innings on the mound and recorded two hits including a triple.  Jada Berry, Sarah McLaughlin and Jayleen Quintana also had big hits in the game.  The winning hit came from Morgan Moskal who stepped up for the ladies in a huge way while the seniors were away for their Senior Disney trip!

ASVAB test today for some of our juniors. Those testing will report to room 329 for period one.
