  • Last week the cross country team turned in some PR performances in their last dual meet of the season and then capped off the week with one of the best showings in school history at the GMC championships. Last Tuesday at Holmdel Park, the team finished up their dual meet season with a strong showing against South River and Keansburg. Despite training through the race, Guin Kennedy came in first place in the girls race while seniors Ciara Smocovich and Michelle Ajilowura turned in PR performances on the hardest course in the state. On Saturday at the GMC Championships the team took home three medals which is the most in school history at that event. In the varsity race, captain Abe Calderon led the way with a 30th place finish in a course PR. Joe Jalalowicz and Neftali Rodriguez also turned in course PRs. Freshman Gabe Albarran ran well in the freshman race to round out the boys performances. On the girls side, the duo of Mary Ann Walsh and Guin Kennedy brought home the first two medals in school history at the GMC championships, both in big course PR performances. The team is looking forward to the sectional meet on November 9th and the chance to qualify for states.

  • Reminder: this Thursday is a short session day for students with a 12:15 pm dismissal. It is also Halloween, but our school dress code is in effect. Please no costumes, costume makeup, masks, etc.
