The 6th grade science class requirement is the first part of middle school science. This course will cover the following topics:
Living Things
Introduction to Plants and Animal
Interdependent Relationships in Ecosystems
Matter
Energy and Motion
Earth’s Systems and Resources

Every assignment completed has a point value where larger assignments (i.e. tests, projects) are worth more points. Grades are calculated based the total number of points gained divided by the total number of points available each marking period. An example will be given in class.

Grades are entered into Genesis Gradebook as soon as there are graded, and are available for viewing on Genesis Parent Access

The values for certain grade categories may change slightly as each marking period progresses.
